3 january 2014 : 1st Official release of Nxt source code

Today, Nxt core dev team has published the first official source code release of Nxt currency.

Version released is version 4.0.7 of Nxt client.

To prevent some clone, core dev team has introduce three flaws in code release and some feature (alias, transparent mining are not publish yet)

The nearly 6000 java code lines are available in this repository :

The core dev team of nxt community has released today a new version of the Nxt Client Software NRS in its new version 0.4.8.

Alias new feature : Firefox Alias search engine setting

A new setting for Firefox is proposed by nxt community.

As the chrome extension, it allow you to type directly the nxt alias in the browser bar and so redirect to the URI pointed by the alias.

Alias new features : Chrome Search Engine settings

Nxt community is very active this last days.

A way to add a specific ALIAS search engine in your chrome browser was publish on bitcointalk.org yesterday (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345619.msg4220939#msg4220939) .

This settings allow you to type an alias in the browser bar and redirect on the URI pointed by the alias.

New Nxt coin feature : Alias

What is alias ? 

Alias is a system which  can link names ou number characters  to any URI – website, phone number, email, bitcoin address, location, anything.

Alias System is available with version 0.4.0 of official nxt client and will be activated at block 22000.

How to assign nxt coin alias ?
To create and assign an alias, you need to open URL https://localhost:7875/alias.htm on your browser and  fill the fields and hit OK.

Aliases may contain only digits and case-insensitive latin letters. Currently it’s impossible to transfer aliases to other accounts, but owner of the account can reassign an alias to any URI at any time. Alias is considered tied to an account after the 1st confirmation of the AS-transaction.
